The contest specified an apocalyptic-type background and having just watched Stephen King's The Mist I was inspired to use that concept for a pre-apocolypse environment. Simple, effective and terrifying. (or at least for me)
FUN FACTS: In the Hindu culture there is a similar goddess who was the cohort to Siva, she was a demon slayer herself, black in color with four arms (generally seen holding knives and or severed heads). In the form of Chamudna, she has a terrifying look and wears a garland of skulls. Snakes and scorpions adorn her body, she is the goddess of time. (A.K.A. Parvati, Calcutta, and or Durga)
