I was young still when we went to visit the Prince in his kingdom; our neighboring kingdom. We were taking a small child to him and his team of scholars, one of the greatest groups of scientists known, to determine whether or not he was indeed our future prince- a paternity test if you will. The Prince had not yet returned home and we were forced to stay in the servants’ quarters for a few days before he finally arrived to authorize our use of his intellectuals. I was but a servant girl in our little entourage, but being so I recall the whispered suspicions of his own servants so vividly. There was mention of the red earth and the secrets the Prince kept…
I woke from a dream to draw on a scrap of paper what I saw: a man’s head with a cat’s face. I fiddled with it during the days the Prince kept us waiting, it was perfect yet somehow still not quite right.
The Prince returned and evidentially didn’t feel us a priority even though we’d been waiting patiently for three days now. He agreed to meet with our superior during dinner. We, of course, were shuffled in with the rest of the servants in the preparation and serving of a royal meal we would never taste. I can’t remember his face, still, even now that I’ve thought about it for as long as I have, the Prince’s face eludes me. We were clearing the table after the nobles had had their fill and spoke their peace; my scrap drawing fell out of my pocket and to the floor before the Prince.
“What a very interesting drawing,” he said. I was surprised he spoke to me directly and stuttered out that it wasn’t finished yet, that there was something still not right about it. He looked up at me from the scrap of paper and his expression was curious and if I wasn’t mistaken, a little alarmed. Just then one of the servant girls, one that cared for two younger than herself, but didn’t speak much English, came running through the back door of the kitchen, “Red earth!” she cried and a crowd of servants gathered about the door. I barely looked at the Prince before I set the dishes back down on the table and ran for the door. “NO!” the Prince shouted and even though I thought to stop I didn’t. He chased after and yelled other things that I paid no mind to. I wanted to know, I had to see. The other servant girl had mounted an old timey motorcycle that looked like it had seen better days. The two smaller children clung to her waist behind her on the seat. She revved the engine and before she could speed off I jumped on the back behind the two small children securing them in place; we all fit comfortably on the leather seat.
We sped off through a green field of grass that gradually became a hill and before I knew it the Prince’s palace couldn’t be seen behind us. We stopped on the other side of a small hollowed-out mound. The sun was on the other side and cast funny shadows our way. I dismounted as the girl pointed, “Red earth” she whispered and pointed into the shadows. I walked up to what appeared to be a small alter built of granite and polished pristine. Along the front on the ground were several very roughly-cut out squares for which a different colored tile was placed in each. The tiles were each a different type of stone and on the next step were small trays filled with tiny stones each sorted according to color. Beyond the alter were larger carved-out crevices holding larger stones sorted also according to color.
I wasn’t sure what I was looking for, or even what the red earth really was, so I sifted through the stones trying to find red ones, but most that came close were darker shades of orange or pinks that looked red in the shadows. I pushed around the smaller stones within the trays when I uncovered the end of something unpolished and reddish-orange and white. I reached in and pulled out what looked to be a piece of a bone, the top part of a ball joint perhaps. Horrified I dropped it back into the tray. The other servant girl looked nervous. She stayed put on the motorcycle with the two children.
I looked harder still not sure I was finding what I was looking for. Off to the side leaning against the granite panel behind the alter was an odd misshapen yellowed thing with reddish bits around the edges and larger than all the other stones there. Being the child I was I poked it with a stick, but instead of being hard like a stone it gave though the surface crunched a little- like cooked fat on bacon. Some type of tallow maybe. Disgusted I threw the stick down and stood. Looking down onto the dry dirt the alter was built upon I saw the stains that couldn’t be cleaned up as easily as they could on polished granite. I realized then what the red earth was; the Prince had been sacrificing humans and the red earth was where their blood had spilt in the dirt.
The face I’d seen and drawn from my dreams was the true face of the Prince who wasn’t human at all…

ALSO, NEW RULE!!! If you're drawing Shri-r'ka for me, you have to add something to her costume!
It can be a piece of armor, a weapon or a decoration of some sort, but it must be added by the artist out of the artist's own imagination/creativity.
Pretty awesome, right? I've been meaning to add to her get-up, but haven't found the time to do so because it takes me a really long time to draw her... all those speckles... So I figured since Yautja armor is mostly found stuff and junk that's been welded together... ...and bits of bone and stuff... that it would be a good idea to do it this way. This way the artist is doing more than just drawing a character, but they're contributing to the character!

I'm so impatient for you guys to see my new stuff it's driving me crazy!!!

Y'know what else drives me crazy? Twilight haters. Don't knock it 'til you READ it. I'll give you, the movie sucked big time (ESPECIALLY if you read it), but the books were pretty damn awesome.
--I hear complaints about sparkly vampires...
...because it makes so much more sense to burst into flames in sunlight... RIIIGHT...

Kiriban is still at 10,000 (almost there!), but you may have to wait for whatever your request may be until the aforementioned scanner is within my possession... regardless, if you catch it, please, by all means still make your request known and I will put you on my list!
