Brushing up on my brush painting skills... In the span of time I have between work and raising a child and cleaning up after said child... I have been working on random stuff. I've already completed one of one of my hairless rats and I will probably do some of my fish also. I may try some more complicated stuff as well. I really enjoy brush painting and sumi-e, but it's definately a challenge for me, because I'm so typically a pencil/pen kinda gal!

I'm also still coloring the other three pictures that I've promised, but I reiterate, it's not easy to color digitally on a plasma screen, at least not for me. My other computer does not have the memory required for all my art and such so I have to use the laptop which is a great pain to me.

In other news, according to the Mayans, the world as we know it will end on my brother's birthday in the year 2012.
The Mayans were able to caculate a calender thousands of years in advance and then they simply vanished. Their calender states that this particular age began on August 12th, 3114 BC and will be destroyed by earthquakes on December 22nd, 2012 AD. Perhaps, even though they predicted these earthquakes, there was still more beyond that, but they thought that a good stopping point (more like a cliffhanger in a horror movie)? Perhaps they wanted to frighten the people of the future into widespread panic? But then of course, they themselves disappeared. Could their disappearance be related to so-called extra-terrestrials? Could their prediction been a warning- as in there may be something we could do to change it or just something they thought we should know even though there's no way to stop it? Could it be just another false prophecy of the world coming to an end? Fact or fiction? I'd like to hear your thoughts... What do you think???

Griffin & Mereyan's 6 Year Anniversary!!!



Progress...
Commissioned at my work to make a sign so must do that first since I'm actually getting paid for it...
I'm also working on coloring the art trades that I should've had done by now... I will try to get those done as soon as possible, but I've discovered coloring digitally on a flat plasma screen laptop gives me somewhat of a twinge in me brain. :headdesk: It's difficult to tell what color is what because at different angles they all look different! But I AM working on it!

Anywho, the contest is still on, I've received one entry thus far, oh and I had a dream about another odd creature kinda like my alien goat so be looking forward to art of that too... must decide what to call it...
